The involvement of a Speech-Language Therapist can be beneficial in any of these areas. It may be a case of offering some strategies to set you on your way to supporting your child. Sometimes they might need more regular input. Together, we can devise a plan that works for you and your child.
- Speech Sounds - including focus on specific sounds, clarity of connected speech and Phonological Awareness skills.
- Language Comprehension - including understanding concepts, vocabulary and following instructions.
- Expressive Language - including vocabulary development, sentence structure and grammar.
- Higher Level Language - including verbal reasoning, inferencing and problem solving.
- Stuttering/Dysfluency - including coping strategies and direct fluency modification techniques.
- Social Interaction - including developing turn taking skills, conversation and interaction skills.
