Early Childhood Centres
I offer:
  • Training on early language development and when to refer to Speech-Language Therapy.
  • Strategies to encourage early language development.
  • One-to-one therapy, including training of teaching staff to implement communication programmes.
  • Early Communication Skills groups.
  • Communication programmes and staff training.
  • Support with Individual Education Plans in line with Te Whariki (Early Childhood Curriculum).
Primary and High School
​I offer:
  • Training for staff including:
     - How to support students with speech and language difficulties in the               classroom.
     - Diagnosis specific communication e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder,                     Developmental Language Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Down         Syndrome etc.
     - Use of visual supports e.g. Visual Schedules, Social Stories, Core                       Vocabulary etc.
  • One-to-one therapy, including training of Teacher Aides to implement communication programmes.
  • Support with Individual Education Plans in line with the New Zealand Curriculum and reference to the Key Competencies as appropriate.
